The problem of interchain connectivity

One of the biggest problems with Blockchain technology is the lack of interoperability between different chains. Applications built on one chain cannot operate on another, restricting users from availing of benefits offered by other chains. This is problematic in many ways. Lack of interconnectivity between blockchains leads to congestion on networks, scalability issues, and higher operational costs.

What is the TeraBlock Bridge?

To enable the swift & smooth transfer of tokens between different chains, we have built a Cross-chain Bridge. The TeraBlock bridge is an advance and easy to use Cross-chain bridging protocol that adds a whole new layer of functionality to the TeraBlock ecosystem by using multi-chain bridging technology to ensure the secure movement of assets between multiple blockchains. Supported Networks

The TeraBlock Cross-chain Bridge enables users to transfer multiple assets between multiple blockchains. In the first phase, we are adding support for all EVM Compatible networks like (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon). The second phase would add support for non EVM compatible networks such as (Terra, Solana, NEAR) and extended support for L2 (like Arbitrum, Optimism). The third phase of the TeraBlock Bridge will see support for NFT bridging on the TeraBlock Bridge Protocol.

Bridge Fees

  • A Fixed Bridge Service Fee is a fee that a user pays for each bridge transfer.
  • A bridge transfer requires 2 transactions: Send transaction on the source chain and Receive transaction on the destination chain. Bridge Service fee is paid with the Send transaction.
  • The bridge fee does not include a gas fee. Users will pay for gas themselves.
  • The fee is paid in the same token that is being bridged.
a. Fixed Bridge Service Fee
Fixed bridge service fee Users will pay a fixed bridge service fee for each transaction. The bridge service fee will be paid in the transferred token for each transaction from the transfer amount. Users will be able to see the fixed bridge service fee after entering the amount of tokens users wish to bridge. The bridge service fee depends on the tokens and is different for each asset and is deducted from the total amount of tokens bridged.
b. Estimated network gas fee
Users will pay for gas fee themselves for both Sending and Receiving transactions unless otherwise mentioned. Users will need to have the Native token balance for each (host and target) chain in order to complete the transaction. For e.g, if the transfer is between Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain then the user must have ETH and BNB on both the chains in order for the transaction to be successful.

How to use the TeraBlock Bridge?

TeraBlock Bridge is the simplest way to bridge tokens between Blockchains. There are three steps to use the Bridge.
Step 1: Connect your wallet containing the tokens you wish to bridge.
Step 2: Select the host chain (From) and targeted chain (To) networks from the list of networks. Enter the number of tokens.
Step 3: Click on Deposit tokens, and the bridging process will start. Once completed, click on Release tokens to credit the tickets on the targeted chain.

Are you having trouble using the bridge?

Ensure you have enough native blockchain tokens balance in your wallet to pay the fees on both the host chain (From) and targeted chain (To). The following are the native tokens with their corresponding chain.
ETH for Ethereum chain
BNB for Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
Matic for Polygon Chain

How long does a transfer on the Bridge take?

The time required to move tokens from one blockchain network to another depends on the overall speed of the networks. When the networks are congested, it may take up to 12hrs for the transaction to go through.
How does the TeraBlock Bridge work?
TeraBlock Cross-chain bridge is a robust decentralized bridging platform to bridge your assets between blockchains focusing on security. The Bridge has a dual setup approach a. Mint and burn Under mint and burn, the tokens on the host Blockchain are burnt, and an equal amount of tokens are minted (created) on the targeted blockchain. b. Lock and unlock Under lock and unlock, the tokens on the host Blockchain are locked, and an equal amount of tokens are unlocked (released) on the targeted blockchain from the liquidity pool.

Which wallets are compatible with the Bridge?

Any Web3 wallet can be connected to the bridge for token bridging. MetaMask, Binance Wallet and Trust Wallet are some examples of Web3 wallets.
